Just an idea I had, I'm no modder so I'm not sure if this is something thats do-able.

 

Im playing a modded Skyrim where I am a forsworn warrior fighting against the stormcloaks (roleplaying being on a mission for Madanach where I, infused with the power of the Reach, travel far and wide in Skyrim helping the other holds, the imperials and smaller factions so the Forsworn gain support). And seeing their elk-totems and general celtic feel gave me an idea that is somewhat influenced by the celtic horned god Cernunnos:

 

- The Avatar of the Old Gods

Where you, with the power of the old gods, transform into a magical larger than average man with an elks head (or a were-elk if that is cooler), glowing fiery eyes and tribal markings. If possible there could be room for some of the twisted red spikes that often accompany hagravens and forsworn camps. Maybe there could be a forsworn quest that grants you the power once a day or something.

Is this possible? And more importantly, is anyone with modding skills interested in the idea?

Not bumping, just expanding.

There are also some instances of the native american Wendigo, the cannibalistic creature-spirit, being depicted as having the head of a deer or an elk, if the Old Gods of the Forsworn are Daedra, something more monstrous like that could be a viable option:

I would love to see this, must be a way of combining forsowrn armor textures and the werewolf

If anyone is interested this could be a part of a bigger mod with a focus on the forsworn. We know nothing of their religion, and no "old gods" are ever mentioned by name. Maybe its possbile to make som neolithic celtic temples with a statues and stuff. With a variation of the celtic pantheon, someone like Cernunnos or the Horned Serpent could be the main god, with a trio of warrior women as deities of war (like the Morrigan, Macha and Nemain).

 

The lore surrounding the forsworn and their culture is ready for expansion!
