ULTIMATE REALITY OVERHAUL

Hey guys, I just started to open the Creation kit and i'm Confused AF

but this is my idea of the Ultimate Reality Overhaul for FALLOUT 4

 

Combined with some of the existing awesome mods, This will become an entirely new game, with a lot more tactics and stealth options and economy.

 

1. Ammo vs Armor - 9mm bullets penetrating power armors? not immersive, All armors should have resistance against the type of AMMO used, small bullets shouldn't damage super mutants and deathclaws so easily.

 

2. Salvage teams - in real world economy, someone will appear after you massacre a stronghold and pick up whatever you leave behind. Create or use existing caravan leaders, which will do that and have options to strike a deal on sharing the profits from loot. Options to salvage and keep any legendary items.

 

3.Inventory - PLayer should only be able to carry 3 weapons, Main, secondary, Melee + Grenades. Big melee weapons will count as Main weapon.

Quantity of ammo and grenades limited to the number of ammo pouches on armor.

 

4. Personal Caravan - Brahmins can be purchased or captured (using animal friend perk) to carry your extra junk and weapons, Brahmins can be raided and die, will need to hire or use followers to guard.

 

5. Locks - can purchase or create locks and keys for chests on Brahmins, raiders without the skills will not be able to open

 

6. Tactics - can now gather intel through settlers or notes or drones to reveal hostiles, can order followers to attack from various entry points, Followers can communicate through radio simple responses ig. Clear, Man Down, need back up...etc

 

7. Power for facilities - all settlements (including enemy) should have generators that power their turrets and lights, which can be sabotaged to cause chaos for stealth play, communications can also be cut off to prevent Reinforcements. (night vision needed)

 

8. Smart enemies - enemy factions will give warning or open to negotiate before they start shooting. Chance of bribing you to look the other way, chances of being extorted and threatened.

 

8 (just for fun). Sly Dogmeat - Dogmeat can now be sent infront of enemy and play innocent to distract enemies.

 

9. (just for fun) The Actor - player or followers can be sent to charm enemies on guard to create distraction or surrender.

This does sound very playable, i'd love to have a playthough with this too! Unfortunatly im not a developer, and for the time being i dont have much time to sit down and focus to learn it..
But that said, If someone makes this i got my eye on it! :smile:

If you're serious about making this yourself you're starting way to big. Choose one thing from this and focus on it. Trust me you'll very quickly see just how many hours you're going to need. A lot of what you want to do is also going to require scripting know how. Maybe you should start there as that's a massive can of worms. Keep this big idea in mind for the future. For now break off a piece and use that as your beginning project, the smaller and simpler the better. Once you've got a win under your belt you'll have more motiation moving forward and can package everything together at a later date.

Another option is to simply look at some of the existing overhaul mods. War Never Changes, Better Locational Damage, Immersive Gameplay, Frost and Horizon all quickly come to mind. Virtually all of these will address some or all of these points to one degree or another.
