WIndows mouse will not go away on game start

I have a dual monitor configuration and I wasn't having this problem a few months ago. I took a break from playing the game and now just about every time the windows mouse will not go away. I have tried going to TESV and toggling the disable visual themes but that still doesn't work. On the occasions I can get the game to start properly if I alt tab or even bring up task manager to swap applications the mouse will appear and not go away. I have tried most all solutions I could find but none of them have worked so far, any input would help.

Have you tried to disable your second monitor?

it could fix the problem.

 

PS: i have the same problem, when i use [Alt]+[Tab]. thats why i use a "AutoHotKey" script, to disable the [Alt]+[Tab] combination. i use [Windows]+[Tab] to switch.

and always use the [ESC] menu before tabbing out of the game to prevent the tabbing bug.

I tried disabling the second monitor but no change, the cursor is still present. The alt tabbing is the least of my concern for now, I just want to be able to start the game without that darn cursor.

I was having this issue earlier turned out to be DisplayFusion causing the problem, so if you have it just turn it off and the issue should go away.
