user0510
Hey all I have been trying for the past two years to get skyrim to run on linux. I switched to linux from windows 10 after it updated without my permission and I had to wipe the OS from the bios and start over. I'm using linux mint. At first I tried spatry's method but kept getting a dot net error that I tried to fix, which led me to another error and a fix etc, etc, etc. Two years later I have a different laptop(was using an HP now I have an asus) and the asus had windos 7 but the previous owner accidently wiped the OS so I just put Mint on there. I thought it would be easier somehow with a different laptop but I tried spatry's method and the wiki's method(the guy that made it during back surgery) I have even tried to use vortex from the youtube link people are referring to and I'm no closer than I was in 2017. I have the windows virtual machine from spatrys tutorial on my laptop, does anyone know how to get skyrim to run in the virtual machine?? I know it's npt good practice but I don't have windows as an operation system and after two years of trying skyrim just won't run on mint for me.
