jonozilla
I'm currently making a mod that will add more crossbow tiers to the game (Daedric, Orcish, Iron, etc). I've added the head of a werewolf to the hilt of my daedric crossbow (representing Hircine) but unfortunatly when I save and try to replace the mesh and texture with the current steel crossbow ( by adding is to mesh/texture files and renaming it crossbow) it doesnt show up in game with the werewolf head or the right texture (it turns out purple). I then tried loading an original mesh in creation kit, by making a new weapon and adding the mesh "CrossbowDaedric.nif", but it again shows up textureless and werewolf-headless. turbosnowy
Need more info really - - do you have a NIF file working in NIFskope that show the wolf head on the bow?- have you added to NIFskope the texture paths you use so you can see whether it loads them or not?- can you see a working textured version of the bow placed on an NPC in the CK? Basically if something turns out purple in game you have a texture problem - could be you don't have a texture for it, or more likely you did not set the texture path correctly for that NIFpart in NIFskope - double check you did. Make sure you set the texture path options in NIFskope to load your textures from Skyrim textures directory so you can see them within the tool itself - it proves you have it right even before saving the NIF file. If using Skyrim textures then not too worry, since we all do that, just NIFskope wont be able to show them - you just need to triple check the spelled the paths right... Make that quadruple check... I can see everything in NifSkope but I don't know how to add the texture path and when I put it into the CK it shows up textured but without the head. Edit: Ok I think I got it working but every time I load it into the CK it crashes :l Edited August 8, 2012 by jonozilla
