gasti89
the 4gb mod isn't needed since the very first update. Since then, skyrim runs using 4gb of ram.
bben46
The LAA flag is now included in the Skyrim patch from Bethesda. Adding another copy of that patch will not make it work better, and may cause problems. There is a longer explanation here:Here is a link to my troubleshooting blog. .http://s1.zetaboards.com/bbenlibrary/topic/4751769/1/#new If you use any of this and have some success - or even if nothing works - please post back here what you did that worked or didn't work. That kind of information can be invaluable to other members having the same or similar problems - And to me in fixing any problems in the blog. TheUKJester
ok mate will check link out cheers. also whats the LAA and where can i get it?
gasti89
LAA just means Large Address Aware. It means that the 11/11/11 was using a max of 2gb RAM. The 4gbskyrim mod put a "LAA" flag on the Skyrim.exe, making it run at 4gb RAM. The 1st (or 2nd) Skyrim update built in the exe itself the LAA, so if you bought Skyrim on Steam you are already running at 4gb RAM without that mod.
