Hi You can say all you want but I cannot anywhere find a decent simple instruction on how to download and install the 2k hd textures.

I tried downloading with the mod manager that didnt work, I tried downloading the 4 seperate hd packs dungeon, towns, misc, landscape etc tried downloading them with mod manager and installing that doesnt seem to of installed it because I cant see a difference and ive also manually installed it and put the folders into the skyrim data folder which still hasnt work.

Could someone for the love of god just tell me clear and simple how to get it working ive been searching for hours.

Hi...been there...

After you download manually, upon unzipping the folder you should find a texture folder within each one. Simply copy the entire texure folder from each part of the download into your skyrim data folder.

I think you would find a folder called "Data" inside of which there's a folder called "textures" inside which you'll find many subfolders.

I your Skyrim game folder you'll also find a folder called "Data" which contains other subfolders and may or may not include a folder called "textures".

The idea of installing any mod is copying all the contents from the "Data" folder of the mod and pasting them into the "Data" folder of the game and choose "Yes to all" when prompted to overwrite folders. An even better solution is to copy the "Data" folder of the mod itself and past it into your Skyrim directory. That is, you need to overwrite the "Data" folder in your Skyrim directory with the data folder from the mod and choose "Yes to all" when prompted to overwrite. Don't worry, this won't delete any files from your skyrim folder.

Each mod folder part of it comes with a folder called textures, and then it comes with aload of sub folders in that with some of them.

I already tried putting all of the sub folders into the skyrim data folder. Should I just put in the 4 texture folders? Or the sub folders within inside the texture folders for each part off the 2k hd mod. Because ive already tried that and I dont think it worked because the game looked the same and there has been no data loader on the game launcher saying its installed.

I really need someone who has installed the 2k mod to tell me EXACTLY what to do.

A .esp file, short for Elder Scrolls Plugin, are the small files that you usually "tick" in the data files to turn on a mod. If you open your skyrim data folder, you'll find all the esps you're using, as in [yourmodname.esp]. Though most mods require a .esp to work, texture packs don't, that's why you won't see any file to tick in the data files menu.
