Corruption from the site?

I just started to download some mods for my NV to make it a bit more fun since I played the hell out of it on the Xbox, and now I have the PC version. I downloaded a mod that added weapons from previous games, and two animation mods but when I tried to open them with WinRAR, it said there was corruption within the files, and they wouldnt work. Anyone have any ideas? Is it my internet or are they just not keeping up with updating the mods? They were some of the most downloaded mods so I didnt think they would end up being corrupt.

Whats the extension? .Zip? .Rar? .7z? .Fomod?

Make sure what your using the extract them can open those files, and if its a .Fomod then you need Fallout mod manager to install the mod.

Sometimes your connection may fail during the download and it gets interrupted before dl'ing the whole file. Check the size of the file in your computer and compare it with the size that appears in the mod's download section. If there's too much of a difference, you can be sure the download got interrupted and you ended up with a corrupted rar file. You may also check the file's full size as you dl it in the Downloads section of your internet navigator, which is generally a more precise way to do so.

If I am right and your connection failed during the process, you'll just have to dl the file again.

Hope that helps. Have a great day/night.

This could be the case, as the site is sometimes not loading correctly and I have to refresh it at least twice for it to even list categories.

I found a solution (I think) I live in Texas, so i chose Dallas as the server, and for some reason when i chose Washington or Seattle and kabooom! it worked!

I hope this solves this issue for you.

Happy modding.

I cant tell, but there are points when the site just simply kills itself for my browser and says the file is hidden, or invalid file name.. This upsets me because I really wanted to try these mods and they looked good but it seems I cant get a hold of them.

Just refresh until you get it to work, it happens. Since Dawnguard just came out, the website traffic is a bit glitchy, just be patient and refresh and try different download servers.
