Tyriam
Hello! I have over 200 hours played in Skyrim. And even with the fresh DLC something is still missing! Realism. Realism in a fantasy game? Impossible! Fantatical! Other silly words! See. When I shoot an arrow through someone's head because I'm amazing with a bow. They should be dead. It's how life works.. If I cast freezing spells on a dude.. Eventually he should be turned into ice? Fire? Well he should burn! Weather effects on character? Yes! Hunger? Of course. Yet from the mods I've tried none of them do this very well. One is with all kinds of strange prosentages that I don't understand and the other.. Well.. I didn't understand that either. I'm not a modder for Skyrim. So I have really no idea how difficult these things are. But. They probably are very difficult. What I propose is a mod that makes characters have hit boxes. So that if you don't wear a helmet and an arrow comes through your head. You're.. Dead. If you don't wear a talisman that protects you from fire damage.. You should die rather easily to that as well.. Unless you wear a shield. Because we all know, holding a shield up torwards fire doesn't burn you. Unless it's a shield made out of wood.. Or.. Steel that would eventually melt your arm off.. But.. We don't need to make it super duper realistic. But yes. Hitboxes with armor, aim and shields that actually do things. Then there's hunger. Why not make hunger an effect that comes over the player every 1 hour or so of real time in which they get a sickness? And the only way to cure it is by eating something. Same with thirst! Wouldn't that be easy and simple? Cold. Of course a screen effect should tell you when you're getting dangerously cold. Running should decrease this as it generates body heat. And so should holding a torch, waring a lot of good warm armor etc. But I think there's a mod out there that already does that. Really. We have a hunger/cold mods. Hunger mods need improving for the normal man that doesn't want to count his calories.. And I think some of the cold mods and good. But a hitbox mod. Now that would be awesome. Of course the skill system would have to be reworked. Especially the block system. Seeing how blocking usually takes a second to actually block. Anyway. Just food for you modders. Just my toughts on what realistic skyrim mod should have. Especially that hunger thing I came up with. Seems pretty good to me. Thank you for reading. Feel free to tell me how stupid I am below! :D
pwnedbyscope
there was a mod i remember a while back that enhanced archery ie shot in neck=bleed out stuff like that, also fallout has vats which basically uses hit boxes so in that aspect its possible the parameters just need to be changed, to make them more... deadly, ever thing else is possible, just needs to be scripted which sadly cant be me
Javalin
Depends on the realism.. You don't want too much realism in a fantasy game, but you can certainly have realistic elements. I have weather installed in my files. When it rains in the game.. It behaves like a thunder storm. Looks amazing, with only a 2FPS loss. Not a fan of realism as a whole.. As long as it doesn't effect anything other than the environment. Jav'
