Sound problem with one-hit-kill-on-sleeping mod

Hello People,

I have found out that the mod "One hit kills sleeping knocked out and paralyzed targets" causes a magic casting sound to be played whenever I attack with a melee weapon or have my bow drawn. Its rather loud and really ruining immersion on my DB playthrough. The problem is, when I disable the mod, I get the "Save file is relying on data no longer existent" message when I load the save, and I can't fast travel because the game crashes when I try to.

So my question is, is there a way to:

A: Somehow disable the magic casting sound caused by the mod

or

B: A way to disable the mod without damaging the save file?

Or do I just have to start a new save without the mod in order to be able to enjoy firing a bow in silence?

Have a nice day,

Felix

Sounds like a Scripted Effect "spell" is still having the annoying sound that plays on every "cast". You'll likely need a Script Effect Silencer.

There's one coming with most of the famous magic enhancing mods, like Midas Magic or Supreme Magicka. Maybe LAME has one, too?

The Unofficial Oblivion Patch should also have one by now. I think?

Wrye Bash, I think to recall, has an option in its Bashed Patch to silence Scripted Spells.

And if everything else fails, there's also stand-alone solutions like Duke Patrick's Basic Script Effect Silencer for that.

Just don't end up using more than 1 at once, as they can also undo each other's effects.

Hey, thank you for your reply!

My problem is fixed now.

I saw the almost exact same reply from you in another thread with a similar problem, but I somehow didn't manage to solve the problem.

Anyways, now I did it! And I can enjoy Oblivion again, thanks again.
