JohnC2211
I find that the actual presence of the Perilous Kanji interferes with me reading the enemies' movements and I often mis-read a thrust as a sweep, etc. I play on an Xbox controller and feel like coloured kanji for each type of perilous attacks would assist somewhat, though I am mindful that it may make the game a little too easy. For e.g: red kanji as it is now for thrust attacks (as you use B on the Xbox controller, which is red, to counter it), green kanji for sweep attacks (as you use A on the Xbox controller, which is green, to counter it), and grab can stay as is as dodging it is the best defence. Or, if it's possible to simply remove the danger kanji, that would be a good option too.
TheWideMurloc
sweep attacks are the number one thing in this that kills me. I have never once successfully performed a jump counter in an actual fight because i always misread it as a thrust or grab. Im used to souls where i either block, dodge, or parry, so adding JUMP to the mix is the biggest weaknes i have. I'd also love to see a different colored tell for the sweeps
Ragnorrok
Was about to ask for this myself, this would make fights like the final boss where you can't actually see what the hell they're doing a lot better.

JohnC2211
I imagine it's theoretically possible as multiple coloured Kanji exist in the game for the buffs/heals/debuffs etc. But it's whether or not the game files themselves make a distinction between the different perilous attacks. If the files are set up to for eg if->periloussweep play->kanji.jpg then it may be good. If it's just if->perilous play->kanji,jpg it may be trickier. RetroNutcase
I'd be fine with a mod that disables the kanji entirely while keeping the audio warning, to be honest. The kanji itself is a major distraction, the audio cue alone is fine and would work better.
