So for the umpteenth time I'm walking through the Prydwen and hear Kells "All unregistered technology must be turned into the scribes" ... or something like that. All this other chatter about finding technology yadda yadda. So you walk onto the ship with a suit of X-01 Power Armor, an Alien Blaster, and a serum that let's you live forever and not a scribe there is interested ... but oh that 200 year old Salisbury Steak is theirs when they get off duty....which prompts to ask another question perhaps of the philosophical nature....actually never mind.

 

Is there a way to fix this?

So which part do you actually feel is the most broken of this. Your sorta touching on a few different things. Are you asking the PA announcements be disabled, or are you thinking the NPC's should freak out and demand you hand over your tech? Keep in mind the BoS is perfectly ok with using the tech they steal (aka confiscate) from the Commonwealth (and anywhere else they can lay their hands on it), they just don't want others having it.

 

For example: turn over a metric ton of Fatboy nuclear shells to Elder Maxim and the BoS love you, but set up the artillery cannons at the Castle and Danse hates it. They want to keep the rest of the world in the dark ages...except for themselves. In the end, this is their real beef with the Institute.

If someone could make a mod that has the brotherhood attempt to confiscate your equipment if you aren't part of their "Cause," that would be a great mod... & a great excuse to kill all of those dumb tin cans they call "Power Armored Soldiers!"
