Custom Mesh incompatability

Recommended Posts

I recently purchased FO3 GOTY and installed a couple mods, including a current FOSE and archiveinvaldation, as these are required for many of the mods. The problem I am having is with the custom meshes on the gear. the texture of the gear comes out purple or pink or white, or often changes tone and color depending on the lighting. this is affecting every mod that I down load. I have rotated my load order, but I am only using a limited number of mods, maybe one or two at a time, inconjunction with the DLC's, FOSE and archive. can anyone help?

cavon31 - Hello!

That's a texture problem, sounds like a classic archive invalidation issue.

Make sure you've definitely taken care of archive invalidation.

If not taken care of new mod added textures won't show up properly.

Either download & activate:

ArchiveInvalidation Invalidated

http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=944

Or, if you use FOMM click on Toggle Invalidation on the right.

For "New" FOMM you have to go to the buttons at the top & select:

Tools - Archive Invalidation

NMM has a built in Archive Invalidation too.

DON'T USE BOTH METHODS TOGETHER.

Note FOMM/NMM's version often needs to be toggled off & then back on again when you add in a new mod.

Hope this helps!

You Rock! totally fixed my problem, i didn t know that FOMM had a preinstalled version of the archive. I deleted the manual download and went with the FOMM version, works like a charm now, thanks!
