Vampire Lord or Werewolf?

****MINOR DAWNGUARD SPOILERS AHEAD****

So, recently, I heard you get a chance to.... "change your mind" at the end of the Dawnguard storyline if you're a Dawnguard, so I was wondering, seeing as I'm a sneaky crossbow user ("Thief"), which one should I pick (Werewolf Dawnguard all the way or betray the Dawnguards at the end of the storyline and go Vampire Lord) and why?

Well considering werewolf (in my own opinion) is kind of useless and you're a sneaky dragonborn I'd go vampire lord because you get the buff of champ of the night and plus the didnt really do a whole lot with the werewolf perk tree where the vampire lord tree is awesome. The werewolf is still only a once a day thing where the vampire is as often as you'd like. yeah betraying the dawnguard hurts some but just wait till the end to get all of the benefits from them.

I wonder why no love for the Werewolf from Bethesda....had mistakenly assumed they were going to juice the Werewolf up in Dawnguard, keep it all even as such...I guess not... :( ....As for your question Dragornp0rn, that's all really a matter of preference, I much prefer werewolves myself and so turn to the modding community for what Bethesda failed to deliver...I use a Werewolf Enhancing Mod that does make the Werewolf a viable option and not a sad pale cousin to the Vamp Lord....also, I don't know if this is just a lucky bug in my game or a deliberate addition from the Werewolf modder, but my Werewolf seems to be in eternal sneak, his not crouched and can run, but his victims don't see or hear him coming until his almost right on top of them...is very cool.... :happy: ...It also depends on the alignment you want your Dovahkin to have....the Werewolf can be any alignment, the Vamp Lord is straight up just nasty....that's my take on the Vamp Lord anyway, considering what you witness in their Castle and apparently okay with if you side with the Vamps.

Can you send me a link to the mod please?

I agree, alignment wise I DO like the Dawnguard better but I also need to keep in my mind what's better for me gameplay wise :P

Hm.... You have a fine point there... But what do I do about the magicka? I have like 120 magicka... And how many times do you get the choice to betray the Dawnguard? O.o

@Dragonp0rn....Link to Werewolf Enhancer:

http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/7523

from what i am understanding from reports given in the thread, there have been some problems using the Werewolf Perk Tree with this mod....But I do know the modder was planning to watch for clashes with Dawnguard and also in my own opinion it is not something I have been particularly worried about it, as the Enhanced Werewolf alone is more than enough without bothering to use the Perk Tree anyway.

The werewolf wouldn't be so bad if you could keep your human speed of player.setav speedmult 400 with it, it drops 200 when you become a werewolf

Not sure if ~ tilda cheat command window works during werewolf mode?

I'd assume it does :P

And I didn't know your speed drops o_O. Wow, well I guess I'll try your command in case I become a werewolf. But so far it seems like Vampire Lord has more benefits.. asiodasoidasd so confused >.<

Thank you, I'll look into the mod. I'm still not sure which one (Werewolf or Vampire Lord) is better for me though :P

The default speed is lower then 200 and werewolfs move faster ,you can set the player.setav speedmult to what ever number you wont, I've seen youtube video's using player.setav speedmult 5000 just to show you a secret building out of map in there video!..

I have three text doc bat files with player.setav speedmult 250, player.setav speedmult 400 and player.setav speedmult 650 that I use in console command

Oh. I think I'll just stick to the default speed they give me if I become a werewolf. Just a quick question though, Serana just offered me to either become a vampire or partially soul trapped (To enter the soul cairn). Will I get another chance to become a vampire or is that my only chance and does a thief with a dwarven crossbow even have anything more to gain from the Dawnguard?

As I recall when you first return to castle volkihar with Serana the father offers a reward to become a vampire and if you refuse he banishes you, I haven't played far enough on the dawnguard vampire haunter side to know that option to become a vampire or partially soul trapped you mentioned!..
