Vampire Lord or Werewolf?

Or you could go to wikia and read what exactly happens :D

Whichever side you choose, you'll get 2 types of arrows which do different things to the sun. You can choose to become a vampire or to be soul trapped, doesn't matter either way for the story, but if you do become a vampire you'll have to cure yourself eventually to finish the quest.

I kind of want to enjoy the storyline I paid $20 for to the max but at the same time know some gameplay consequences, if that makes any sense at all.

Anyway, I think I understand. Even though I'm a Dawnguard, I can still damage the sun at the end of the storyline, right?

Yes, you can use Serena to spawn one type and another NPC to spawn the other type of arrows. Neither of those arrows damages the sun as the bad vampire wanted tho, they only bring out different temporary effects.

Does the vampires faction get a better version of these sun damaging arrows (Sorry for being such a derpbag xP)?

Nope. Bloodcursed arrows come from Serena, and she follows you whichever side you've chosen.

Oh, alright. One last question, I am currently level 24 with only 130 magicka. Is my pitiful amount of magicka going to be a big problem? What should/can I do about it?

P.S: Thank you for being so helpful and patient with me, much appericiated :)

Not sure what magicka has to do with Dawnguard, but in general if you are not a magic user you don't really need magicka for much except for occasional soul trap or candlelight and similar miscelanius spells. However, if you are a magic user and find your magicka pool lacking you can start using items that increase your maximum magicka/magicka regeneration, invest in magicka on further level ups and spend perks in enchantment skill tree so you can create equipment with better mage oriented stats.

Well, I got myself into this, might as well finish it :P
