Rose0612
Hi there, first time using the forums. Forgive me if this is in the wrong place. I've been Googling for days and I can't seem to find quite what I'm looking for. I have a follower mod in my game, and I use her armor. What I would like to do is move her mask to slot 44. I've got it working in sse edit, but obviously it's invisible. The file I need won't load in nifskope, I'm assuming it's because the mod doesn't have the correct file type. How do I take just the armor part of this mod and pack it in such a way that nifskope can find it? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance! testiger2
If you only have an .esp you can tweak it inside the CK or xEdit. If your mod also has custom meshes you have to tweak the meshes as well as the .esp.Meshes are usually .nif files. if you have no .nif files then then you won't need nifskope. Also just in case might wanna look at this https://wiki.nexusmods.com/index.php/Skyrim_bodyparts_number
Rose0612
Thank you for the reply! I have no nif files in the mod folder, only .dds files. And yes, that link is a lifesaver! The armor set for this follower must be a custom mesh. Double checked in xEdit and the mask shows invisible. I checked the file types and there are nif files there, but nifskope can't recognize them? it's looking for .bsa or similar files. Here's the link to the mod in case https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/21310?tab=files
IsharaMeradin
The mod you linked is for Skyrim Special Edition. Thus make sure you are using a version of NifSkope that works with SSE. If you are not using 2.0+ then this is most likely the issue. NIF files are different between original Skyrim and SSE and as such cannot be loaded in the older versions of NifSkope that were designed for Skyrim. Rose0612
Per the download name, I'm using version 2_0_18_02_22.
Rose0612
I got the mask to "load" in my game without it crashing when I equip it. It's still invisible, but I'm getting the bonuses from the enchantments on the mask. While looking though, I noticed that in nifskope the item is purple. I can't find any textures to load for it though. Any ideas? Thanks so much, guys. You're leading me to sources I wouldn't have thought to look for before this!
