js2281
Mod requirements: base game, Lonesome Road, WMX, Project Nevada Amount of work needed: immense (completely beyond my capabilities) So here's this idea I had that stemmed from my desire of having a WMX compatible .308 minigun (with uniques) in the game. First is the weapons that I was talking about: CZ73 minigun and CZ77 Starseeker minigun. The idea was that you'd have the CZ73 minigun spawn with characters that use the normal miniguns, albeit more rarely. The Starseeker would be found at the crashed Vertibird. The miniguns themselves are minimal effort mods, it's only a size increase for the two of the miniguns from their original WMX meshes and textures. Base unmodified stats would be as follows:CZ73 minigunDAM: 20DPS: 600CRIT DAM:20CRIT MULTI: x.001Attacks/s: 30AP cost: 35Projectiles: 1Spread: 1.05Ammo types: all .308 ammo types including GRAAmmo/shot: 1Shot/reload: 180Ammo cap: 180Reload time: 5sWeight: 30Value: 6000Item health: 1200repair: CZ73 or miniguns (Jury Rigging)CZ77 Starseeker:DAM: 25DPS: 750CRIT DAM:25CRIT MULTI: x.001Attacks/s: 30AP cost: 30Projectiles: 1Spread: 0.75Ammo types: all .308 ammo types including GRAAmmo/shot: 1Shot/reload: 120Ammo cap: 120Reload time: 5sWeight: 25Value: 8000Item health: 1600repair: CZ73 or miniguns (Jury Rigging) Then I had this idea after thinking up the weapon stats. A holotape would be added next to the minigun describing the minigun in a DLC-like message. Description would be as follows: "Thank you for choosing the CZ77 Starseeker minigun! We here at Rockwell know how important it is for our troops to have quality firepower to defend America and our products reflect this. The Starseeker is the result of years of research and development, through technology that is superior to the Red Chinese, we have made a gun that would mow down the Commies with ease. The Starseeker fires .308 rounds that were originally designed for powerful sniper rifles, normally this means that .308 miniguns such as the Starseeker would be very hard to carry around, let alone fire. But fear not! We have solved the problem through advanced lightweight materials and recoil-management systems. What does this all mean? It means that the Starseeker would allow any patriotic American soldier in power armor to be able to punch through anything the Reds have to throw at him and this would end the war faster and save more American lives! Remember, if you're heading into a firefight, Rockwell's got your back!" After closing the message, the quest "Rise of the Dragon" would start and a map marker would be placed somewhere south of Searchlight Airport along with an undiscovered quick-travel point. The quest itself would occur in a new worldspace based on design cues from Lonesome Road's Military installations and the Citadel from Fallout 3 using content from New Vegas. Enemies that you'd fight would be a special faction of non-feral ghouls. You'd have some temporary companions to help you along the way as well as in the final battle. More details would be included in the thread if anyone's interested in picking up this idea.EDIT: The marketing thing for the minigun's wrong and out of date, I'll put it up for anyone who's interested, quest mod's name was also originally called "The Red Dragon Awakes", base requirements (in my mind) are as follows: NCCS, Project Nevada, Readius, NVSE, Lonesome Road.
