Nerxedion
Hi there folks, I have a huge problem. My comp was just crashed and we reinstalled it with a new operation system, the Win7. I have read about its problems, and to not to install the game into Program Files, cause it wont work. Keeping this in mind I just made a new folder to C and installed it there. However, despite the fact that I installed mods, and tried to use Nexus Mod Manager still nothing happens: it shows the addons installed, but they wont work in game, aka have no effects on the game, they dont even start. What can I do in such a situation? Nephenee13
You are doing something wrong. Oblivion mods work just fine in Windows 7.
Nerxedion
I guessed that I am doing something wrong, as they do not work, thank you for your clarification. And now I would like to ask if someone could actually help me, instead of pointing out the obvious.

What mod manager are you using? What mods are you trying to install? Are you even installing in the correct places? Do you have any idea what you are actually doing? Nerxedion
I use the Nexus Mod Manager, that is downloadable from the server. I put it into the same special folder to avoid the administrator problem as well.I wanted to download the CM Partners and CM Pym mods specifically. It shows in the Manager that they are good and fully installed, but when I launch the game nothing happens, none of the mods functions seem to work. Most Oblivion mods were not designed with it in mind, and its performance on anything but the simplest of mods cannot be guaranteed. I would recommend using Wrye Bash, personally. DrakeTheDragon
As you reinstalled Oblivion, make sure it's up-to-date patched to version 1.2.0416 or most of today's plugin files (ESP) will just be "silently ignored" by a pre-1.2 game version, no matter if they're activated in the launcher or not. Thank you VERY much, that exactly was the problem!
