Haven't Played In 3 Months, Reinstalled, CTDs On New Game

Hey all, I have been spending some time in these here forums looking for an answer on why my game is crashing when I went to start a new game. I took my game off completely due to some RL issues I am going through, and now things are a bit better, I can breathe better now.

I brought the game up and I have no saves so I tried to start a new game. The game CTD'd to the desktop. When I had a couple of savegames put aside, I tried one of those for kicks, but it also CTD'd.

Now, ya'll gonna ask for my info and specs so here it is:

Now I know the Intel chip is adequate for the ability to run, and yes I did put in the code for multiple cores computers. (Just to be careful.

Alas, I'm not sure if I need to patch up to 1.7 for Win7, but I did anyway. ArchiveinvalidationInvalidated, whatever, I have checked through a lot.

I am wondering why my scaling is disabled though, if you could take a quick look upwards.

I appreciate all help,

I never thought I'd say this, but I'll be darn. It worked like a charm. It bypassed some codecs in the chipset, I don't know how, but it did and it worked. Thank you, and I'll pass this on to whomever has the same or similar problem.

Again, kudos for saving my butt. ;-)
