Eiade
I talk to the wise woman of the zainab, and she tells me to go to the ashkhan of the zainab in his hut. i talk to him, and there isn't a single topic that iniates a mission or updates my journal. what am i doing wrong?? (i've already become hortator of the 3 houses, and i'm nerevarine of urshilaku, ahemmusa, and erabenimsun already.) i've talked to everyone in the freakin camp. they all tell me to go to the ashkhan. Eiade
tried that. but i know what the problem is. this is gonna sound quite peculiar, but when i was loading my game, it said that "the quest topic Nerevarine has been deleted by master file bloodmoon.esm. this may erase some quests." OF COURSE IT WILL YOU FRIGGIN' STUPID COMPUTER!! well crap. this means i'll probably have to start a new game. i obviously can't simply uncheck the bloodmoon master file from the launcher. i've already done too much stuff in solstheim, and there would be SO many error messages when loading my game. oh well. thanks anyway. Marxist ßastard
That's... Odd. More than odd. I think you'll have to open up Bloodmoon.ESM in TES PCD and delete the offending entry.
Eiade
ok. i'm experienced with the construction set, but not with quests and journal stuff. could you tell me how to do it real quick?
Marxist ßastard
Open up TES Plugin Conflict Detector (this is a third-party application that is not included with the CS -- you'll have to find it yourself) and load Bloodmoon.esm as a plugin. When it's done, ignore everything but the warnings pane, which will list deleted dialog entries. Look for a "Nerevarine" entry, highlight it, hit Delete, and then answer "Yes" to the dialog that comes up asking you for confirmation. The application will save a backup of the ESM as a .old file, in case this operation just screws things things up even more, which it may very well do.
