Sharpie5055
I just recently bought this game from steam. I used to play it on my xbox until I sold it in favor of a computer. Probably the first thing I did before playing the game was mod it. I'm pretty much done with modding the game to my satisfaction, but the game crashes, freezes, or just closes randomly every 5-30 minutes as I normally play the game. It's beyond annoying and I'm looking to see what I can do about it. I'm assuming that some of my mods are conflicting with each other. I dunno what to do, so any help would be greatly appreciated. I've already looked around the internet and made some changes to the .ini file that makes the game only use two cores of my processor, but I dunno if that's really going to help. I have NVSE installed, use the archive invalidation thing, and use the NVSE loader to start the game. SilverTorch
You have a loooot of mods so there is bound to be some confliction between them. Downloading mods one at a time is a safer way to install and test mods. I do have one question though, what exactly is housemod.esp? I have the same mod but I've completely forgotten what it actually does as the .esp title isn't a very good descriptor.
Cynthetic
hi first!u should load all DLC and original packs after falloutnv.esm and before all mods. second!test the game in vanilla state / clean fresh install without mod installed. if it keep crashing try the "fixing for crashes" in this link http://wiki.tesnexus.com/index.php/Fallout_NV_Troubleshooting_guide and if a codec decoder installed on the system (like ffdshow and similar)) then add fallout to its list of exception or deinstall the codec decoder. AV scanner can cause crash to, turn them complete off or add fallout to its exception list. FNVedit can help to find conflicts and can help u create a merged patch, this patch can reduce conflicts.http://newvegas.nexusmods.com/mods/34703/ note; don´t edit/save plugins or original files, just override to a new file to edit entries (if u edit manually) u can simple create a merged patch bye clicking right in the left window and choose "create a merged patch" choose a file name and save (simple exit fnvedit) enable this new patch in the loadorder. third!if the game run smooth on a clean fresh vanilla installation then u can add mods step bye step and test this ingame.
