Fallout 3 and Windows 7

I recently purchased Fallout 3 GOTY and it plays for a little bit and then freezes forcing me to go into the task manager to end it. Does anyone know how to fix this issue. I have a windows 7 O/S, i7 2700k processor, 8 gb ram, and an AMD 7770 graphics card.
