don555
So I was downloading some mods for fallout new vegas the other day, and only half of the mods after about the halfway mark wouldn't archive when I tried to unpack them and install them. Since then, nothing I download from this site will archive. A thing I've noticed is the files I downloaded are vastly smaller than what the site actually says they are supposed to be, so I thought it was something with the firewall. No dice, turned off the firewall for a second and redownloaded one of the mods I wanted, and still wouldn't archive. I saw in another forum post some people were having the same problem, some people said it was a chrome problem (which I use btw) so I re-installed chrome, still no dice. I even went back to IE and tried to download it there, still nothing. I've tried to see if it was my internet connection, so I went to my grandmother's house to check, still nothing. I've re-installed 7zip, and even installed a new program like it, peazip, and still having the issue. I looked at a lot of forum posts and none have the solution. I've done everything I could think of, and I'm getting very irritated at this problem. If anyone could point me in the right direction on how to solve this problem, please let me know. Thanks. I've added a screenshot of the error message when I try to archive a mod to the attachments.
Vagrant0
It might be an issue with the download not completing or getting corrupted due to slow connection or server load. Best way to check would be to compare the file sizes. If the size of the file you downloaded isn't the size of what is listed on the site, you probably have a problem somewhere with your connection. The servers have been getting hit rather hard over the last week or two because of influx from people returning to Skyrim, so you may want to try during periods of low activity or giving it a few days. As the file you're pointing out is only about 400 bytes, I would guess that the download failed. Unfortunately since your screenshot also shows a folder created for the "Reloaded" version of Sims 3, and contains an icon for a disk image file, I'm going to have to ban you for piracy.
