rika195
Well I probably am doing a million things wrong but I have no idea what those things are. Just re-installed skyrim se on a new computer, tried out the Vortex for the first time, and installed all the mods I normally use plus several more just to try out for fun so I can give endorsements. Just something I like to do. Problem is, I get into Skryim and everything is SUPER BRIGHT, and it's not my graphics settings. I have seen other people have this sort of issue before and figured it might be either conflicting mods, or an ini problem? Neither of which I know how to fix. Here is my load order: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1nbmOIXgW1yST6B1ryu54HCrerZfSl5By_fjBRXhuwjo/edit?usp=sharing Here is what the game looks like:https://drive.google.com/file/d/1Xby30fZwwyQvjrYA1Lyy4iodjvdVSEGd/view?usp=sharing A side issue I am having is that none of my plugins are active, even though skse64 works. Example: I have Quick Loot, but while it's in the right folder it does not active. Is that related to the brightness issue? Can you help?
WsElite
are you already set the bFloatPointRenderTarget set to 1 in your SkyrimPrefs ini ? if not, everything will be too bright.

BowToDovahkiin
I tried to just add it to the bottom of my prefs id made no difference the issue only seems to happen in the day in the afternoon and night my lighting is normal I have enhanced lighting and fx installed at first I thought this was the issue but I removed and completely deleted all the files and not only did it not fix the issue it made it worse so I reinstalled it with bFloatPointRenderTarget=1 added to my files this is still what it looks like:https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/560756492559450122/565107281335681050/20190409113336_1.jpghere's a few hours later:https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/560756492559450122/565107303662223371/20190409113350_1.jpg

WsElite
ah Skyrim SE i wasn't see that word, don't need to mess with prefs like oldrim so you're good i think (set the DrawLandShadow to 1), okay you need to lower down your brightness to the lowest in game setting. then hit shift+enter and search this line in [environment] [ENVIRONMENT]DirectLightningIntensityDay= (change it that you liking with) if that is still happen find the bloom and lower it. hope this will help you. rika195
Thank you so much for your help! I did notice that it helped during the night and after the sun went down, but it was still super bright while it's daytime. One thing I read in a couple places while I have been researching which mods might be causing this, is that some custom race mods can cause this error. I tried uninstalling all the custom races I was trying out, and the issue seems to have gone away! I am not sure which mod caused it or why it would do something like that, since a custom race shouldn't affect ingame lighting, but there it is. I will test them one by one and let you guys know which one caused the issue for me. Thanks again for your help! And if you know a way that I can use custom races without an issue like this, please let me know!
WsElite
yes, no problem happy to help. yes its matter of fact, some of custom race mod is altering "perks", like "Better Vampire", "Nightvision" or something similar to that. the perks that affected is some perks that affiliated with "Lightning", but the problems is there is such minimal problem, but nonetheless you need to check it if something happening.
