Seek and Destroy

Hey everyone, I'm rather new to the community so forgive me if this has been done before. I was playing oblivion and I had an Idea for a mod, since I have absolutely no modding ability, I thought I'd come in here and tell you about it and see if any of the talented people on this website would give it a go.

Every hero needs a nemesis right? Someone who just wants to seek you out and ruin your whole existence.

Well, I recently downloaded Player Hunters: Fame and Infamy by Nenina. While it being an amazing mod. I thought of how cool it would be for someone to take it to the next level. Have a geared out, mega enchanted evil badass who will chase you all over Cyrodill time and time again and make your adventure all the more difficult. Maybe you could put him on a respawn timer of about a week or so.

I've also thought of some character ideas for this evil badass.

Such as:

An Orc Warrior in pale_rider's amazing Armory of the Berserker armor.

Or a Nord Barbarian in the Chaos Knight armor featured in Tda's Armoury Beta

As far as getting permission from these modders to use their armors I am unsure how that goes. Its just a spur of the moment idea after all.

Well thats it, just thought I'd come in and share my idea.

Thanks. :)

Thats a good question, lainge.

I am unsure if teleporting the fallen nemesis would be the only way to have him come back time and time again.

Maybe a script of some sort to just make a whole new one. Of course, I guess the corpse of the old one would still be laying wherever you killed him last, but I guess thats just something you'd have to deal with unless there was a way to dispose of the body after his death.

even your nemesis dies another one could take his place its never ending the DLC spell Tomes has a person that finds you and fight you perhaps someone could do that?

I don't know much of anything about modding either, but you could make the person tracking you down essential, and give him a script that makes him teleport to a special empty cell when his health gets to zero, and then make another script that sends the character out of it after about a week or so.

I've thought of a couple story driven nemesis ideas.

First off: Seridur, from The Order of the Virtuous Blood quests. Dressed in Aknevrec's Black Guard Armour. He is a powerful vampire after all, and they've been known to come back to life to enact revenge on those who have slain them.

Second: Ulrich Leland, from the Corruption and Conscience quest. Assuming you've chosen Garrus' method of dealing with him.(I assume so because most of this is tailored for a "Good and Noble" character). Ulrich wouldn't be too pleased with you after sending him off to prison. It wouldn't be too hard to think of how a man with so much under the table gold exchanges and influence might be able to bribe a guard into giving him a spoon or a lockpick so he could break out and enact his revenge.

My ideal equipment for him would probably be either a standard oblivion steel or mithril armor, along with his signature silver 2 handed axe.

Another idea for a nemesis would be a standard Dremora male in McMuffin's Daedric Lord Armor Lord Dagon might have noticed your role in the Battle of Kvatch(Or any other part of the main storyline rather) and sent one of his most powerful warriors to dispatch of you.

Just throwing out a couple of ideas folks, feel free to post in the thread if anyone else out there has any ideas.

there is a mod not what your looking for but you do get hunted down

1: Player Hunters ( Quest reletated ones) basiclly some familler faces you killed in quests come back to get you

2:Player Hunters ( Morag Tong and Imperal Hunters) your hunted people based on your fame and infamy this one is best i think

The second option you mentioned tyreil, really made me depressed when reading the journal entries it gave. xD The first option however looks rather good.

In my opinion we also do need some new nemesis, someone we'd truly hate. Basically a decent looking nemesis with a background story that would be revolting enough for everyone to hate him.

I might be able to pull it off myself, but I'm going to need the hunter/seeker AI package. I'll see what I can wrap up tomorrow, too tired to start fighting with getting the NPC to work properly.
