Help! Missing Eyes!

As the title mentions, my eyes are missing! It only seems to occur at the race menu screen and when I have the inventory open. Tried using a fresh install folder and starting a new game but the problem persists, wondering if it is something Dawnguard related or if anyone else experiences this issue or has suggestions. Any help is greatly appreciated!

Are you using any type of mod that modifies the eyes? If no try downloading a mod that changes eye textures and see if that works.

I was using the Eyes of Beauty Mod when I noticed the glitch, so I tried loading it up with out it and even tried a fresh file and new character but it still show up as either no eyes or pure black eyes.

I'm using the same mod as you are, but i am using both NPC and PLAYER 6.1 versions.

 

Are you using the 6.1 version?

 

Did you use NMM or did you install manually?

 

There is also a support for disappearing eyes workaround on Eyes of Beauty page Eyes of Beauty that links in to Invisibility Eyes Glitch Workaround plus Chameleon spell

hey this has absolutley nothing to do wuth tis situation but i made my char. on skyrim zues i dont know what to wear any ideas

Installed it manually, and at first I used just the player version then I tried to install the NPC version too even though it is only my character having the empty eye socket issue (Seems males have empty eye sockets and Females have black glossy glass eyes). I just find it odd that even reverting to a fresh skyrim file and a new character would still have the issue with no mods running. Perhaps my "fresh install" is whacked somehow, gonna try and reinstall and see if that helps any.

Gonna try the fix provided a few lines down and see if it help, will update if it does indeed work. I suppose a GTX 560 isn't enough to run on full AA :P

Well, gave it a try and it seemed to only work slightly, like the angle at which the eyes are view-able is increased so now its only an odd angle like I'm trying to look up my characters nose that they eyes turn black, and they are still missing completely from the racemenu but they reappear if I hit the ~ key while in racemenu... very odd... I suppose it will either fix in the near future or aggravate me enough to eventually attempt to fix it again lol. For now however I just want to play :/

 

 

[Edit] Perhaps I need to give up sooner and more often... I finally just gave up and hit the set to ultra button and loaded in and the problem is fixed. If I had to take a stab in the dark I would guess that my card just couldn't do both AA and FXAA? Not sure but with full mods its working again, woot! :D

Hi! My solution for you are artifices, actually. If you lost your eyes forever, for example, maybe you should check an old lady in the thieves Guild, She can make plastic surgery. I lost my eyes too lots of times and I had 4 solutions:

1) Give up beauty mods, for now, or leave just one mod reserved for facial mods

2) Plastic surgery in the thieves guild

3) Re-load game ( works like a charm, but eyes are lost after some loading or entering caves or similar)
