Though it says .30 cal/.308, I propose that it be changed slightly to fire .50 BMG, changing this into the most ridiculously overpowered weapon on this side of the nexus.

 

However, the player should not simply receive it, no no, that would be too easy. The player must wrest it from the cold dead hands of the absolute nut who created it in the first place, a Super Mutant on Black Mountain.

 

Proposed stats are this, similar to the Browning M2.

Fires .50 MG (Or 12.7, but I think 50 mg would be far more badass, since explosive rounds)

110 DMG per shot (Maybe tone it down a bit? At this rate, it does render the AMR somewhat obsolete)

Here's the kicker. It needs to fire at 1500 RPM. So, 25 Attacks per second

I'm not sure how much ammo that box could hold. 100? 75?

 

 

 

Anyway, that's my proposal. Take with it and run it as you will. Overpowered? Yes. Impractical? Absolutely.

Still, you could basically one man army everything here on this. You could go to one of the WARZONES against both the NCR and come out on top.

That's a little more than a slight change. The 308 is a great round, hits from 2500 ft/lbf up to 2900. The .50 BMG starts at 13,000 and up. That's 13 thousand. It's like saying I want a slight upgrade, from a moped to a Harley.

Well, I wasn't fully aware of the technical aspects between the rounds. The fun in that is well, what doesn't sound awesome roleplaying that story, in a sense.

Never understood the attraction of god weapons. When I play, I prefer a challenge, but each to his own.

 

Anyway, if anyone is able to do the meshes and textures, I'm able to do the rest of it myself, within reason.

 

Either the light machine gun or the automatic rifle (from dead money) would be good bases. Swap out the stock, remove the pistol grip, replace the barrel, add a bipod and that's pretty close. Probably have to change the hand grip.
