Morrowind mods

Well, after getting bored to death of Skyrim, I've decided to replay Morrowind. I followed this guide to mod my Morrowind, and it came out perfect(couple errors with a few swords, but I fixed it). I've noticed that the modding community for Morrowind isn't as big as it is for Oblivion/Skyrim. Half the mods I needed weren't even on the Nexus(which got me super paranoid about modding without the NMM). My question is what gives? I figured with a game being out for much longer, with 2 expansion packs that there would be way more mods than Skyrim.

Also, I love Tamriel Rebuilt, I can't wait until it's finished.

I don't know how many mods there are, and were, for Morrowind, but they were always scattered across numerous web sites, some of which no longer exist. Especially those that were only hosted on personal free web sites like Geocities. Last month saw the closure of one of the other major Morrowind mod sites, Elric M's. Planet Elder Scrolls still exists, anyway. There's also the more recent Morrowind Modding History, which aims to preserve the old mods from the scattered sites. Edited by Tchos

PlanetElderScrolls is closing down its files, and many are no longer online. There are efforts underway by the modding community to download, store, and offer them. Check out the official Bethsoft forums for more details.

The problem, mrbisshie, is that several boards that used to offer extensive lists of Morrowind mods have closed down. (One in fact, Elric's, just closed a few weeks back.) This also applies to a ton of sites that offered individual mods--because Morrowind started generating mods before there were locations available to supply them en masse to users.
