Lainge
That sucks, but why didn't you take your computer with you?
Deleted269910User
Deus, just a simple advice, get an external HD for backups like I did, a 250gb is a small one, can fit even in your pocket, also it's water proof and can take a few swings from a hammer. :)
tyreil829
DLC advise is possessively the best anyway you should do what DLC says and make a backup every few months in advance and hide the drive in a place you know where it is just in case of someone robbing your house Sheppard
Deleted269910User
I paid 80€ for it(Buffalo 250GB MiniStation external HD, 2 years guarantee.), which is 115,80$. In my opinion it isn't too expensive for the data I'm storing in there, but depending on how valuable the things you're storing to you are, it may or may not be worth it. Just ask your local computer shops for what external HDs are available and their prices. There are several reliable manufacturers, Buffalo is my personal choice from them. MnorJium
I got a 500 gig hard drive for under 100 bucks. It couldnt fit in my pocket and doesn look like it could take any hits from a hammer but it sure gives me more than I need! I thinks I got it off of newegg or something. If u wanna buy an EHD, get it off the internet, not in rl.
BunnySnatcher
i had planned on getting one never really got to it(i was going to right when i heard of the hurricane but the stores were boarded up)... of course... well anyway its actually ok with me. insurance will cover the computer but the data of course is irreplaceable ill just start from scratch -sigh- though i hate to do it... Edit: never had a flash drive because i never really needed one, im stupid right? :wallbash:
Deleted269910User
I prefer to go do the shopping myself, the damn mailing service here is horrible, stuff literally disappear(Not always, but it happens.), you get the bill, but not the product. With that said, the inquiry could be made by phone, email or simply by checking out their website if they have one. Make price comparisons and go for the store with highest quality, but naturally try not to be ripped off in the process. Also about the memory size, 250GB and 500GB, both actually had almost identical price(Difference of 5$. 1TB costs roughly 30-50$ more), the only major difference between them was the actual size(And weight naturally.) and amount of noise it made. I love everything silent, apart from music.
