Making poses and idle stances

I'm interested in making pose and idle stance mods, but zero experience so far. Where should I start? If anyone knows tutorials for this, I'd appreciate any pointers. I understand I'll need at least Nifskope to do this?

 

Is it possible to basically convert any pose into an idle stance for the PC?

 

EDIT: bah, my usual luck. Right after asking I found a tutorial here. But my latter question stands :)
