inzann
I have disabled vertical sync (iPresentInterval= 0) and it boosted my FPS to about 100-130 in most areas. Anyways when I entered this dungeon my FPS started jumping like crazy from 150 down to 20 and back up again. I have no idea what caused it, as far as I can tell it isn't hardware related but has to do with the game itself. I then enabled vertical sync to see if it fixed the issue and it did. I had a stable 60 FPS. The reason I want it off is because it gives me this mouse lag that I hate. I hope some of you know what might be wrong. Thanks! :)
cycloney911
It's strongly recommended to put on V-sync as it causes a lot of problems when it's off, this include things you won't expect such as sounds. Anyway, here are some following posts that could help you with the mouse lag, tho you shouldn't be getting any if you have 60 fps. Launch a Windows Explorer window (win key + e)Navigate to \Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\skyrim\SkyrimOpen SkyrimPrefs.ini in Notepad.Locate [Controls] and then find 'bMouseAcceleration=1'Change bMouseAcceleration=1 to bMouseAcceleration=0 instead; this will disable "mouse smoothing" and "mouse acceleration" in Skyrim. OR Turn V-sync on with your graphics card instead of Skyrim default.
