opsguy27
To re-hash the plotline that was on Wiki: "...they have revealed that a major plot element of the Cyrodiil storyline will involve the assassination of Emperor Titus Mede II triggering a succession crisis in the Empire, resulting in a fierce fight for the Ruby Throne between several different factions of nobles." While I love this plotline and the direction the BS team is taking us with all the possibilities that go with it, I hope they hash out what it means to be a non-Emperor Dragonborn in the 4th era. I'm not quite settled with the idea of a Dragonborn playing second-fiddle to another power-player...at least not permanently! It's been discussed over the years ad nauseam, but nonetheless... SOCIAL STRIFE What I'm really interested in is what the social and political ramifications are of a living Dragonborn becoming known to the Imperial nobility and populace. The Thalmor know of you. The general population of Skyrim, Stormcloaks, and Imperial Legion are also aware of your existence. I highly doubt that the possibilities of a new Dragonborn Emperor would go unnoticed or be uninteresting to the Imperial noble factions. With his/her rise in power and the re-establishment of the Blades, the Dragonborn could be perceived as a direct threat to a faction's power or the savior of the Empire by some. THALMOR We all know the war is coming. I don't see any other faction having the symbolic power to rally the Empire remnant and possibly reunite some lost provinces. CHOICES With my own personal Imperial Legion character, there's no way in hell I'd help another faction claim the Ruby Throne. Especially when I can subdue an entire political class and their loyalist armies with the threat of summoned air power (dragons) and all the other goodies that come with the power of the Voice. Thalmor? High elves be damned. Elven snacktime for Odahviing. The only question would remain is how much more would I be willing to bleed the Empire to get what I want? Whatever the case. I can't see the player being anything less than the most controversial living being traversing 4th Era Cyrodiil...and I hope it's being addressed, whether by the BS team or Bethesda themselves when TES VI finally arrives. I'm sure the collective genius of this team is already steps ahead, but I am excited nonetheless! Thanks for all your hard work BS Team!
