grauritter
Hello, Im experiencing a Crash to Desktop (with no message) every time a magic effect occurs on screen. I suspect it has to do with the effect (specular?) because it happens whenever my character, or an NPC/monster uses a spell and that flare travels up their hand. It could be a mod conflict I guess. But this is a recent occurrence, when I haven't changed mods in probably 6 months! I have a LOT of mods and I do not want to go through, re-install the game and then reinstall all those mods :( So if anyone else has had this occur also, please tell me what was at fault in your case. thank you very kindly,-Jason
WoogieMonster
It is not always the case, but often CTDs during spell casting (or more specifically, when a spell explodes on its target) are a result of having the graphics settings turned up too high. Have you changed your settings? Have you updated you graphics card drivers? Sometimes after an update or upgrade, games will "re-detect" your card and adjust the settings. grauritter
Ah, that makes sense. I will look to the graphics settings and see what might have changed. thank you
grauritter
well, IVe updated my driver, checked and double checked the settings and cannot find what the issue could be :( One thing Ive noticed, it only seems to occur when a magic effect strikes my character. Not during any magic event, just when a magic event interacts with my character. Such as healing, or drains. Could be a mod conflict. Im not sure. Any ideas?
