wesaynothin
So, what do you all have on your 'list' of books to read? Mine are: Life of Pi - I've heard really good things about it. Che - sort of self explanatory The fires of Heaven- fifth book in the Wheel of time series A feast for Crows - if it ever comes out...
Malchik
I don't have much time to read these days and when I do, it's mostly plays. I have certain writers I will do my best to read any book by (fantasy Terry Pratchett, Tad Williams and Terry Goodkind; crime two or three esp Reginald Hill). With having to learn lines and trying to write my own fantasy story, plus rehearsals AND a full time job my ability to squeeze in the luxury of reading does not permit anything but pure escapism. I have in previous lives read many of the classics and a lot of modern novels (well, modern then). Anyone who knows other 'escapist' writers, please PM me. Darnoc
I'm reading right now "Il nomen de la Rosa" by Umberto Eco (The Name of the Rose, for those who can't understand Italian). Great book, one of the best books written in the last thirty years. On my last is also the second volume of the "Legends of Dune"-Series, I have read the first volume. And of course: "Hagen von Tronje", a remake of the "Nibelungenlied" by Wolfgan Hohlbein.
AdamNeko
My current reading list consists of: Star Trek Log 2 - Alan Dean FosterStar Trek Log 3 - Alan Dean Foster For those not familiar with the Star Trek Log series, they're Star Trek novels based on the easily forgotten animated Star Trek. vandorssen
I’m currently reading Shōgun, and that will take some time. I don’t get too far in to what I will be reading next, as I usually have no idea. I normally like to read more historical books (based on historical fact), with the exceptions being those related to Middle Earth (a sort of mytho-historical group), and StarTrek books (more post-modern history… Sadly I really believe we could live like they do by the 24th century…). AdamNeko
original quote by vandorssen...StarTrek books (more post-modern history… Sadly I really believe we could live like they do by the 24th century…). Actually, the original Star Trek was supposed to be in the late 23rd Century, but still, it's tough. I also tend to read a lot of Web-Comics, which some of which have books published too. That is why I said by the 24th century. I am trying to be reasonable, after all... ;)
