Manually Editing the Bashed Patch, how?

Hello fellow Nexus people,

I am following Qolores Viva New Vegas - A Comprehensive 2019 Fallout New Vegas Modding Guide, it's really well written and detailed. There is only one thing that i cant get my head around, how do i manually edit a bashed patch?

I followed the steps (see below), managed to remove the cell header but after that i'm lost. Could someone please explain to me how i edit and forward things? Also how do i make sure the correct values are forwarded, what do i look for?

Would really appreciate the help, it's the last thing i need to do before launching the game.

Run FNVEdit through MO2

Click [OK] on the plugin selection pop-up

Wait for the message
Background Loader: finished
to appear in the right pane

Expand
Bashed Patch, 0
in the left pane

Right-click in the right-pane and select
Hide no conflict rows

Completely remove the
Cell
header

Go through each record of the patch to make sure the correct values are forwarded

For example:

Non-player Character
records may need to be edited to properly forward the correct leveled lists from all mods that edit that NPC. NVCE Revised’s changes need to be forwarded, as do Mojave Raiders and Spice of Life’s unique leveled lists

Suggest this is something you should bring up with that author. It's their responsibility to make such things clear. Without feedback, they don't realize something needs more explanation so your question is actually helping the community as a whole.

I believe when they say "make sure the correct values are forwarded", they are referring to specific desired values from earlier loading plugins being carried forward into the same record in the Bashed Patch file. When you look at each record in FNVEdit (in the right-hand pane), the earlier plugins that affect that same record (row) appear in the columns to the left of the column labelled "Bashed Patch". The values in the last column "win" the conflicts with the other plugins.

The documentation for xEdit (FNVEdit) is online as the "Tome of xEdit".
