charwo
OK, we all know that for all the CTD and bugs and lag, Fallout 3 is a totally amazing experience. That said, I want to know if there's anything that can top what I just did: Now, although I have modded the shnikies out of the game, leveling has gone pretty fast. Now my Lone Wanderer is named April: she's a hero scientist that has no sense of humility, fair play or other bulls***. And since she has the most powerful power armor in the game (Winterized T-51b) she's been experimenting with techniques she would never have tried except being encased by tank armor. This includes fisticuffs. On the Way to the Evergreen Mills Station Behemoth, she beat a deathclaw and a bear to death. On Very Hard. And she has paralyzing palm and Almost Perfect. Now comes the fun part: So the Behemoth comes and she uses a VATS paralyzing punch to throw this 30 monstrosity on the ground. Then she starts chucking nuka grenades at it, which hurt, but it's also hurting Clover severely (it makes sense in roleplaying context....April would have bought every slave in Paradise Falls before liquidating the place). So, not having any real ammo, she does another round of VATS, and Chuck Norris style, knocks the Behemoth to the ground AGAIN, and then with VATS all times out, I was looking places where the fists would actually make contact and do damage while it was down for the count, and found a good contact point in the genital region. So she punched and punched until it was over. Let me be even clearer: I watched my Hero Scientist Lone Wander punch a Super Mutant Behemoth in the nuts until it died. Besides the fact I can't stop geeking out about this, I can't think of anything more awesome to do in Fallout 3, or any other game for that matter. So....is there something to top this? If so, I WANNA DO IT!!!
7thsealord
Hmmm, punching a Behemoth in the nads until it dies is hard to top, I'll grant you. ;)

charwo
Damn man! Not as awesome, but still epic in it's own right! Honestly....all I ever wanted was a way to sneak up from behind and throw the bastard off the balcony, or otherwise hilariously make Gastavo think it was an accident. Thank you for making my day more awesome!
charwo
Oh and I thought this would be an appropriate response to the video:
7thsealord
Man, I love vids about killing Tenpenny with a buttload of mines. They never get old. The only downside I see is that that it is so difficult to loot the body afterwards - because you have to FIND it first. My variation on that is to lay down a powder-trail of mines all the way around the balcony, going the other way and coming up on Tenpenny from behind. Laying the last one close enough to kill Tenpenny without being set off by him automatically is a pain, until I finally used a couple of Fission Mines (bigger blast radius). It was a beautiful thing - shot the first mine, and there is this BOOMBOOMBOOMBOOMBOOMBOOM that fades off into the distance as it travels around, a bit of a wait (just long enough to make you wonder if you had connected things up right) then this BOOMBOOMBOOMBOOMBOOM coming back and then, finally, a Great Big BOOM. Magic. Edited August 14, 2012 by 7thsealord
