Nif trouble

So I made up a bottle in Blender 2.49b. This bottle will be used as the model for dyes as a part of a mod I'm working on. However, when I try to add it to the Creation Kit, I get a bit diamond with an exclamation point, and Marker_error:0.

I've checked some tutorials, but none of them helped. If someone can point me towards a tutorial I've missed, thank you. Unfortunately my internet makes video tutorials impossible to watch, at least for another week when I change my service to something more stable.

I tried exporting it as a Fallout 3 object, following steps from an FO3 tutorial from months ago. I compared my nif with a skyrim nif, and tried to import data from one to the other. However, the blocks refuse to paste where I want them to. They end up at the bottom, outside of the object.

Any help would be wonderful.

When I attempted to follow this guide, I encounter a problem at step one.

"material "(null)" not found in mtliib

Error: 80 invalid index(ex) in block #16

NiTrishapeData. Triangles

My mesh appears, however a blurry swirling pattern appears on it. What does this mean? Did I export it incorrectly?

Did you check your uv in nifskope?

I followed the instructions again, this time also checking my UV.

Any idea why this happens? I tried deleting my collision mesh and exporting it again. This time when I pulled it into nifskope, I did not get that error message, but the UV is still all tangled up.

Not sure, but it sounds like block 16 has a "material" property that has not been set (is "null"). Try adding some valid material type (such as Stone) to that entry. See if that fixes the error.
