level 60+ ?

Why do you reload if you get killed? I mean you don't get a second chance in real life either. If you want to play it on hardcore that's your business, but don't call people cheaters who use a basic feature like "load game". I pickpocket stuff until I have it at level 100 or I need some kind of evidence which is usually a letter that I'm forced to pickpocket. So you say I should go to jail or pay gold because I'm trying to ..."be the good guy" (trying to avoid DG spoilers).

I would suggest to not uncap the skill level limit. Once you have achieved to have your main skills at 100, you are done with those. Now it is time, to try out something else, if you want to get more perk points. This is actually not bad, if you do not just do it for the perk points, but actually try out another way to play. You might discover game play, which differs from what you did so far and might find that enjoyable as well, once you get better in it. This is reducing the risk, that you will get bored quickly. It might take some time until you level up, but you will by then be good in those new skills and maybe even adapt your game play to them.

Try to play and enjoy the game instead to grind your way up to the highest level. What is the point of being there?- None, the way to it is, what is important. When you look back then, you either had an amazing experience with lots of interesting adventures, or, if you preferred level grinding, you may find out, that it was overall mostly WORK, boring and annoyingly slow work.

Think about it ... what you really want, amazing game play or level grinding.

I don't reload when I get killed, dead is dead - I keep the last save game from this character in my "graveyard" folder and start a new game. Still I have 2 still active characters which made it over the level 60 hurdle, this thread is about. So this can be done without cheating and without reloading.

I dont get it.. when i ask on Skyrim Forum/Chat there are many ppl that will say im lvl 85 im 109 but i dont get it. Ive had min 10 chars and i leveled all to 47-56l lvl after that my major skills are alredy 100 and also my minor skills are 90/ 80 and are slow raising, and i did almost all the quests, cleared almost all ruins, all giant camps, also have konahrik and im still lvl 55, i play skyrim for so long and i avoid cheats as much as i can only when im forced of some bugs(like the lich with Krosis dosent come out of his coffin i type tcl and hit him). How do you ppl level up when u alredy are lvl 55 ? Is there any type of guide or you just use some cheat codes ?I think a guy who says he is level 50, 40, 30 is a pro player and those above 60 lvl are just some type of cheaters with some stupid builds taking all the perks they need and they dont need, prove me wrong !

Give me a link if theres any leveling guide online!?

Strangely, my highest level character was one of my first; a stealth archer who reached level 67 almost accidentally. A LOT of his levels came through non-primary skill leveling and training just checking out the different skill perks. My current character is a "specialized" mage at level 49 and, yes, the leveling is getting slower now but not too bad yet. My big problem with leveling is getting my mage 1-shot proof; since level 40 I've had to be ultra-careful. I've taken well over 300 damage (on Expert) many times lately from a single hit. I have too much magicka and not enough health and am trying to level health as fast as possible now. Hopefully, the bad guys are pretty much maxed now and I can get health up, but its slow going to be sure.

My primary skills are just about maxed, so I train off-skills just to level more quickly (get health). I'll also use off-skills in low-level combat, like against animals or in low level caves\forts. I don't grind off-skills, just use them when I can. Even if you don't need the perks (I have 5 saved up right now), increasing skills you don't need/want is the only way to keep going without doing some kind of exploit. Revisit some places you've been to (they're level locked) and practice new/different skills; your level will keep going up fairly quickly. Even though I RP and have some strict rules I follow, sometimes my mage has to swing a 2H hammer through Bleak Falls Barrow. Its even fun once in a while. Good luck.

You surely have a different meaning for "amazing gameplay". Most of us won't agree with you. I call what you do "a waste of time". I'm proud that I reached lvl 81 twice and had a lot of fun doing so even when it came to forced skill leveling. It requires a brain to figure out how to do it the easy way. Zombie button smahing is not really my style. I tried to make the most out of the game and I'm happy with it. I still play a lot despite having nothing to do other than radiant quests, hunting or gathering.

So you say I should go to jail or pay gold

Indeed, experience the consequences. You are a thief, so you claim, so go to jail and escape from jail, or bribe a guard or avoid being caught - just be a thief. If you reload all the time, that reduces your risk to zero - what is the point of this? Any kid can do that. No risk, no fun, old wisdom.

Er, being a JOAT, or a MOAT and trying to get the highest level is pretty much the exact opposite of role playing.

It isn't if your character is a JOAT/MOAT.

I mean, it's not like all my characters are polymathic perfectionists. But my primary one definitely is.

No. It's not role playing, it is playing like an action game. You have to play a role.

You are not making any sense, especially since you snipped away the most important part of what I said.

@dukefx

Don't get me wrong, if you had fun with it and enjoyed it, that is fine. But don't expect me to respect you, for having achieved level 81 with those cheats. And for me those are cheats. If you never took the risk of permanent death, where is the achievement then?- Anyone can do that, if he is investing just enough time into it.

If I will ever get to level 81, I will have done it without cheats and without to have died with this character - that is something I can be proud of then.

I don't think that my way is a waste of time. I have enough experience to have a character up to level 30 in a few hours, even with my mods, where I have to hunt to get enough leather to craft, and have to scavenge ruins to get soul gems, and magical weapons I have to find for the most part. I kind of like it the hard way, and enjoy this. You enjoy it in another way, and that is fine, still this does not impress me at all - but why should you care, it is just my opinion, you have yours and that is fine too.

I like it the hard way too. I play on master all the time. I can't remember the last time I died. Maybe I didn't die at all with this character. It's kinda easy since I'm an assassin. "kill before they even notice you". However there are aspects of the game that simply force you to do something you don't like. If you refuse you miss out on a lot of gameplay. For example: If you refuse to pickpocket the infiltration orders from the vampire to get evidence that the jarl's life is in danger (highlight to see spoiler) you will be stuck with this quest and can't do another 6 quests which you can repeat only in a specific order. Another thing is when you get stuck because of bugs and you are forced to use the console to fix it. So if I'd consider this cheating I'd quit the game. Edited by dukefx
