Need help with invisible armor bug

My Skyrim SE runs perfectly; no CTD, no screen freeze, or anything besides the usual, and stupid oddball Bethesda bugs, but otherwise nothing serious. Recently I've downloaded this mod right here:

https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/6701?tab=posts

Namely, the Nord armor. As stated in the mod description, the chest spawn at the Guardian Stones, and all the armor pieces are in it. So far so good. Only problem is, my character becomes partially invisible when I put on the armor pieces; i.e.: I put on the helmet, I go bald. I put on the main armor piece, my torso and upper arms become invisible. Gloves? Hands and forearms become invisible as well. Boots? Same thing. If I put all the armor pieces I'm just a disembodied. bald head just floating about. I used up all the tricks provided by various websites where people are having the same problem, including installing manually the files. No luck.

Insofar I've learned that invisible pieces usually mean a mesh problem, and some solutions describe how to dive into Nifskope, and the CK, but it's pretty confusing to me.

Can someone help me shed light on this problem, and how to possibly fix it?

It looks like there are a few similar issues in the bug section, on this armor's mod page. What it sounds like, off the top of my head, is the biped object is set wrong, either on the armor form or the armor addon (aa).

First, make a backup copy of the mod. Right-click > copy and paste somewhere else, just to be safe. If you go wrong here, you can put it back to square one easily.

If you open the mod in CK, then open that particular helmet, you should see a list of body parts (head, hair, body, etc) in the biped object section. In the lower right, there is a section which lists the Armor Addons (AA) associated with this helmet. Depending on the design of the helmet, there may be one or a few different ones. You may see helm, helmarg, helmkha, helmorc, or variations. This is because (let's say the helm is small and form fitting, for example) the other races' ears, feathers, horns, hair, tusks, whatever may clip through the solid portion of the helmet, so a different model is used. What looks like a normal helmet for a human may resemble more of a coal scuttle on a khajiit. So helmets will have at least one, maybe more, armor addons associated with it. In a helm where all 3 beast races need a unique shape, you're going to have 4 AAs associated with that one armor form.

Race is usually set to default, at the top of the form. In the additional races section, it lets you select which races this particular AA will work for. You might have Breton and Breton Vampire, Dunmer and Dunmer vampire, Nord and Nord Vampire, etc. A separate argonian AA will highlight argonian and argonian vampire race only, but not breton, dunmer, etc. Same for Khajiit and Orc, though Orcs seem to be able to share helms more commonly, so it may just be lumped into the main AA.

The biped object will determine what it will cover. A guard helmet will cover the whole head, while a steel helmet may only cover the hair and circlet area, maybe the ears. If the helm is marked for this, but the AA isn't set properly, or if this is marked incorrectly for the style of helmet, you can be anything from bald to headless. I am no good at pinpointing which does what, and every time I do this I have to stumble through trial and error, but the the easiest way I have found to do it is open up a similarly-shaped vanilla helmet next to it, compare the biped forms, and make the mod match the vanilla one. Then open each associated AA and match it to the vanilla counterpart. If your mod doesn't have one (say orc) then highlight orcs and orc vampires on the main AA of your modded helm.

Don't be discouraged if it doesn't turn out properly the first time. As I say, I have to stumble and curse my way through it, every time. Here are a few creation kit tutorials which may help.

While you're doing this, make sure each AA actually points to a mesh. Sometimes those get skipped, and you can get the inviso gear effect from that, as well.

Hope it helps.

Many thanks for taking all that time to help me out. I did try the CK, but despite your clear instructions, and the links you've provided, I'm still pretty much in the fog. I never used those programs before, and it's really a pain because it's the only mod I've installed over a hundred that I have currently active that's giving me this sort of trouble.

Edit: I tried your method. Tried other methods found online related to Nifskope. It's no use. whenever my character uses the armor the corresponding body parts disappear. Guess I'll have to nix the idea of using that armor.

*sigh*
