Midas Transmogrifier

Originally sent to Xilver via TESNexus, but his inbox is full. So hoping I can post it here and get satisfactory results.

 

'Lo, long time user of Midas, awesome mod... I have Version 270, with Patch A. Sure was confused when I found the transmogrifier, took me forever to find out which mod it belonged to. Now, however, I'm rather confused as to how to get it to work.

I have tried, with several lesser and greater essences in my inventory:

- Activating it

- Systematically zapping it with every spell at my disposal, which is quite a few. Also tried a Shock spell after it displayed 'Zap', a few others along that pattern

- Midas Touch

- Putting an essence on top of it and activating it

- Putting an essence in my Midas Chest and activating it.

- Putting all but one Essence in my Midas Chest and activating it.

- Activating while under fire from Guard Archers

- Force Pushing through it

- Thunking my head on the desk. :wallbash: Hey, was desperate by this point.

 

The Greater Essences I had:

1 Arcane

1 Fire

2 Frost

2 Life

4 Osmotic

3 Shock

3 Sonic

 

Lesser:

4 Entropic

4 Frost

7 Osmotic

4 Shock

2 Sonic

 

Some of these came from normal Gates, some came from the room in the TestingHall. For my mod load order, I have an updated list on UESP: http://www.uesp.net/wiki/User:TriadDraykin

Uhhh, nevermind! I had an entirely different transmogrifier that was in the Market District, in the area between the arch and the Imperial Commerce Store, on another box. It appeared to be an ordinary box, too, till I got the Cleaner IC mod. Then I have a box just floating there. Will continue to try and locate this box's origin.
