niston Posted June 5, 2021 Share Posted June 5, 2021 I remember copy protection schemes on the C64. Intentionally bad tracks on the disk, etc.Most were easily defeated by using a Freezer cartridge. But some people (Ivo Herzeg comes to mind) made some that were really really tricky to circumvent. Funny enough, that was for MagicDisk64, which was not a professional program at all, but a diskette magazine. I suppose it was more like a "I can do this" thing, than of any practical value. Nothing diskmaintenance couldn't handle ;)...and still they tried the same thing later on PC's with CD's.
