Go run around in the woods picking flowers!

(Yes, seriously... any plant you can harvest is worth $$ back in the city, and while you're out running around, you'll surely find a few mines, ruined forts, and other fun stuff to investigate. Chop some baddies, gain some loot, up some skills, and then get crackin' on getting the amulet up to Jauffre.)

Do what the others said, I have to say that I didn't discover the quick travel feature before level 10 and you simply have no idea how much I enjoyed the time running in the woods, forts etc. The only downside(big one) with x360 and ps3 versions is that you can't get any community made mods, so if you ever get the cash, I'd advice you to get the game for PC also.

Unlike any other game you have ever played, you don't HAVE to do anything. As you wander around though, lots of things you CAN do will pop up. You don't even have to fight the bandits you will run into. You can run away. You don't even have to save the world with the main quest, there are plenty of other things to do. With the PC version and mods, there are roughly 100 time as many other things to do. We have over 12,000 player made mods on Tesnexus with more every day.
