After almost a year....CTD all the time

Something happened after Dawnguard.

I downloaded the DLC. I had about 15 mods loaded. I disabled all of them for Dawnguard, which I played all the way through, and through about 10 radiant quests....when the sudden CTDs started. Sometimes at launch, sometimes 10 minutes into gameplay. I tweaked and played and couldn't find the conflict.

So, I wiped Skyrim and reinstalled (via disc) with no mods. Started the game over. Sill CTD. I was running this game so smooth, even when others had problems, now it came around to bite me.

I have a new, big power supply. I'm not overheating in CPU or GPU. I've turned graphics way down and way up. Nothing works.

I've got a 2.8ghz Intel dual core, 8 gig RAM, Radeon HD 6870, Comcast cable. No more patience.

I still run BF3, Oblivion. New Vegas, Fallout 3 (via Steam), Portal and others just fine.

Anyone else in this boat? What else can I try? Thanks...

I'm having CTD issues too, but I have a lot of mods installed

trying to track the problem down at the moment.

Why you are having CTD issues with no mods and a new save I don't know, all I can suggest is to edit your Skyrim.ini to enable logging and check your logs after a crash.

I hope that helps

I had many mods installed and had very few CTD which were fixed my reloading previous or repeatedly. When in reinstalled Skyrim, hell broke loose. Try what Mart said, logs are really helpful or since you don't have mods, try cu/tpasting the Scripts folder at Skyrim/Data to somewhere else, then load a previous save.
