WoogieMonster
Are you trying to extract into a folder in a different location than the original .rar file? EDIT: The only info I can find about winrar errors seems to all pertain to broken torrent files and missing .dll files. Even the official WinRAR site is pretty vague, for almost every problem they suggest reinstalling the program.
inkheart449
It happens no matter where i try to extract it
WoogieMonster
Try reinstalling from a fresh download directly from the official site. That seems to be their answer for more than half the problems I can find through searches. The file size is 1.15mb.http://www.win-rar.com/download.html
inkheart449
I honestly don't think that'd help tbh...
Deleted269910User
Just out of curiosity, are you using vista? If so, it could be the UAC control interfering, you should save the .rar file to a different directory(not anything that starts with c:\program files either) and try it again. If not using vista, someone is just pissing in your cereals, it could be that the download didn't complete succesfully, and Winrar does give an error like that, if the targeted file is corrupt or missing in the temps.(happened to me twice.) So re-downloading the actual mod to a different directory might also help.
Javalin
Try putting the ZIP file on your desktop, then right click it then "Extract Here"

humanbean234
Ok every once so often(very often anymore) WinRar decides to act up giving me THIS kind of error C:\documents and settings\Kane\Local Settings\temp\Elvish_elite_armor1_1-16504.7z Cannot Open C:\documents and settings\Kane\Local Settings\temp\Elvish_elite_armor1_1-16504.7z It's ticking me off and i need to know what to doI can't figure out how to use 7zip and everything i do with the program makes it freeze What in the heck DO I DO WinRar and 7-Zip use different compression algorythms, and of the two, 7-Zip is the better program. 7-Zip can decompress .RAR files, but often WinRar cannot decompress .7Z files if they've been compressed using the 'maximum' setting with 7-Zip. Once 7-Zip is properly installed, the simplest use of it is to Right-Click and Hold on the .7Z file you wish to expand; this opens a pull-down menu, one of the options of which will be "7-Zip" with an expansion arrow. Using the options there, you can choose to "Expand Here" which will extract the contents into the same folder where the original zipfile is held. If that fails to work, then you might have a corrupted download.Hope this helps!
inkheart449
See no matter what i try to do with 7z it freezes
humanbean234
See no matter what i try to do with 7z it freezes Hmm... only other possibility I can imagine would be a corrupted download of the 7-Zip installer. It runs fine on mine, in both Vista Business and XP Professional... does it only fail on this particular file, or on all .7z files?
