AyamePasse
I was thinking about merging a few follower mods (only unscripted) when I came across an issue that I need to resolve whether I merge or not. I WAS going to place copies of all FaceGen files to a new folder with the title of my merge esp when I realized, some followers have the same ID. Their FaceGen files have the same names, and these include followers made by completely different authors. For example, CrimsonFairy's Dimitri and Aisaka's TM Farvis both have the same named nif/dds files: 00000D62. (Sorry, I can't paste links or text of any kind, nothing happens when I try) Is there a way to remove this conflict, or do I just need to pick and choose? I assume both can't work together even unmerged, as that ID goes beyond simply the name of the FaceGen files. Here I was worried about if two followers occupied the same cell. I never imagined I'd have to contend with the game thinking two followers are the same NPC... Edit: I realized one thing I forgot; in-game, the ID has the first few digits changed to reflect load order, right? So technically, unmerged they SHOULD work together...? Edit 2: Okay, I think I figured out my issue. I've been having a LOT of problems with Merge Plugins. At first I thought it was just that it sometimes deleted meshes and textures pertaining to an existing merge after adding more to it. But it turns out its ALSO supposed to copy files somewhere and never did. Last time I tried a follower merge, all the followers looked like vanilla NPCs because it never created the new FaceGen files to work with the merge. This time it did, including ones for Followers it renumbered in order to fix my above issue: Followers sharing the same ID. So hopefully NOW it should work! I've already looked in-game and seen three that look how they're supposed to. Sorry for my moot post! Edited April 19, 2019 by AyamePasse
