MichelleHowe
So I'm editing the Vampire Robes to look like one of the armor models, except I can't find the world model for the armor. I KNOW where it is, because it's listed with everything else. The thing is, though, there IS NO "DLC01" folder! D: GAH! *head+wall* Everything else is good. The model is correct. The "alternetive texture" under "World Model" is correct. But I can't find the model .nif file under "Model File Name" because -- yeah. You get the idea. xD; The specific model is "DLC01\Clothes\Vampire\VampireRobes_altGND.nif" which doesn't actually seem to exist and I can't seem to manually enter the path, sooooo... >.< Halp please? xD
jedimembrain
you realize its in a BSA right? .. The Dawnguard BSA and not the Meshes BSA Edit: Yup.. checked .. I see it Edited August 14, 2012 by jedimembrain
MichelleHowe
I figured that was the main issue, yes. :P BUT! They have it listed as "DLC01/meshes". So bleh! D: There has to be SOME way to set an item to use a Dawnguard world model. :\ EDIT: I AM very new to modding and so, I just realized that I loaded the .esm, not the .bsa with all the goodies in them. >_> Sooooo, derp. But I have no idea how to proceed. xD; Edited August 14, 2012 by MichelleHowe
MichelleHowe
Ha! I've done it! I just manually created the directories with the correct file path (IE, meshes/DLC01/Clothes/Vampire/), then created a .txt file that I then renamed to VampireRobes_altGND.nif, navigated to this in the world model folder, and bam! It works! Woo! I am so smart! S-M-R-T! (Why do I always figure these things out AFTER I ask for help, and after an hour of messing with it? :\) EDIT: If anyone has a better way of going about this, I'd be quite thankful. :P Edited August 14, 2012 by MichelleHowe
Perraine
Erm ... not sure why you'd need a text file ... All the necessary files for editing were extracted to C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\skyrim\data\meshes\dlc01\clothes\vampire for me, using the FO3 BSA extractor/viewer ...
