Weapon texture error in geck

Hello im in the middle of setting up a weapon mod inside of geck. and when i load the mesh into geck in give me a weird ground texture for the weapon (attached file) but it works inside of nifscope. i havent tested it in game but its really bothering me, ive done this once before and it worked fine, i dont know if i exported the dds file incorrectly or maybe its a path problem in the data folder. any help would be great, thank you

 

Edit- so i tried loading it into fallout and the texture is jacked up in game as well. it seems to have multiple textures to it
