InfiltratorN7
seeing as though i have never found this, i thought i would ask. how difficult is it to increase the health of all the enemies in the game. the game's difficulty just feels underwhelming alone, much more so when you have a follower. i play on master and it doesnt help, so i was hoping that i could increase the health of all the enemies so that fights are a lot more even and my follower doesnt do all the work on an enemy. this would help me a lot because i like to have a follower but i always get bored with them, so i made weapons that do almost nothing but now i really wish to increase the follower as i increase. please tell me how hard it will be to accomplish this task. tg08096
It would not be hard, per se, but the task would be long and tedious. There are "template" actors on which many other generic actors are based (like bandits) and then every unique enemy, so you could offset the health of every enemy actor in the ck. The problem with this, aside from the tedium is balancing how much extra health to give them. No matter what you give them, it will be too much at a certain player level, just right at another, and then too little at an even higher level. To solve this issue, you could edit the races themselves to give each race a higher base health, but I don't think that functions as a multiplier anyway. You could edit the amout of health that every actor gains per level up, but that's a bit more complicated. In my opinion, difficulty really comes down to an actors class and moreso combat style. Editing combat styles can cause enemies to attack more often, power attack more often, and take advantage of weaknesses in your defense (staggered), etc, but again, more complicated. My recommendation to you is to do a search for a mod called "leveled enemies." It makes enemies continue to level up as you reach higher player levels, and I think it modifies combat style as well. I downloaded it because I was having similar disappointment with difficulty, and its been great so far. If you are interested in doing any simple mods yourself for difficulty, the creation kit wiki has some decent pages on class and combat style that break down what everything does. Either way, the solution is not far off so good luck and have fun.
Rennn
tg08096 is correct. The mod would be very easy to make, but it would take many hours since you would have to edit hundreds (maybe thousands) of npcs, creatures, and templates. The tedium is mind-numbing.
