A book request.

What happens is through the various mods and even regular Oblivion, I accumulate a metric ton of 'parchment messages'. Being a pack rat, I can't bring myself to throw them away(unlike clutter which I can't wait to throw away). What would be great is a binder of sorts, where you put all these scraps in and it's in a book form. Maybe deeds to houses and 'furnishings' could also go into here.

It would also be a great idea for a similar type mod to work with scrolls, making a real spellbook.

If this is impossible, let me know. I'll leave you with my answer to the rudest shopkeeper in Oblivion:

yes, it is indeed a GOOD DAY!

Hmmm... a special Scrapbook object with a script attached that adds a spell to the PC while the Scrapbook is retained in inventory, and removes the spell when the Scrapbook is dropped.

The spell, when cast,

1. checks for an incremental Reference Flag number attatched to the Scrapbook,

2. gathers the text & image info from the appropriate field of the next item grabbed,

3. adds that information into the appropriate field of the Scrapbook beginning at the PageBreak whose number matches the referenced Flag,

4. adds a new incrementally numbered PageBreak (+1 from the previous Flag) at the end of the newly added info,

5. resets the Reference Flag for the Scrapbook to the new number, and

6. destroys the grabbed item.

I'd guess it would require OBSE (some of these field-related functions may not even exist yet), and I can only imagine it working on text & image objects... though, just because I can't envision how it'd be possible with spell scrolls doesn't mean it'd never be possible.

Good luck finding a taker for this... I'm good with the theory given my experience with Aurora for Neverwinter Nights, but I haven't got the skills in CS to make it for you.

(BTW, them're some amusing pics.)

That's what I needed to hear, thanks.

What about just an item that when you click in the inventory opens up a chest (like the portable sack) and put the scraps of paper in there?

Now this just might work. Perhaps it can look like a book container like the Wondrous Inventory. BTW, this mod hasn't been out for long and a lot of people don't know of it. It's better than the bags of holding and even the Purse of Wonders. Of course, my advice is to use TESIVGecko, bind them all into one esp and have every single container like this available for organization purposes...lol, like I said, I'm a pack rat.
