Nexus Mod Manager Not Activating Mods

Hello,

Sorry if someone had already started a post on this. I have downloaded, installed and updated (ver. 0.19.0) the Nexus Mod Manager. I tried adding a couple mods, e.g. Deus Mons and Dovahkiin Hideout, but BOSS does not recognize that any of the mods are active. Any one have an idea what I'm doing wrong?

Hi Guys,

Thanks for responding.

Asdgora: yes the mods are ticked in the "PLUGINS" tab of NMM.

xNodus: no "Data Files" are grey'ed out. I thought this was weird, but didn't think much of it since I thought that NMM would handle the mods. I haven't managed any mods in any of Bethesda games recently so I'm a bit rusty on what to do.

Thanks again, guys for responding.

I just got a PC copy of the game. the version is 1.1.21.0

I installed the Nexus Mod Manager thingy, and downloaded the only mod i really liked thus far which is the Deus Mons Home...

I see in the plugins section everything is clicked, and I've noticed the Data Files is grayed out.

questions..

1. do i need to upgrade the version or am i ok?

2. the Nexus Manager was downloaded to it's own folder within the Skyrim directory but separate from the games other files...etc

( D:/Games/The Elder Scrolls V Skyrim/Nexus Mod Manager)

and the .exe file is in D:/Games/The Elder Scrolls V Skyrim/The Elder Scrolls V Skyrim) <~~~~ for some damned reason I made two folders

do these need to be merged in order for the mod to work?

thank you in advance for helping out a newb mod user... and have a Great Holiday!

I am having the same problems.

I installed a number of mods through the Mod Manager. They are checked and activated. However, they don't work.

I am running version 1.1.21.0

The "Data Files" tab on the load screen is greyed out.

I don't have a "Skyrim.ini" file, I have a "Skyrim_default.ini" file as well as "High", "Low", and "Medium" ini files.

I added:

[Launcher]

bEnableFileSelection=1

to each of the .ini files

Still not working.........

For all of you who cant find skyrim.ini ....

you need to edit SkyrimPrefs.ini

Make sure you're editing the right SkryimPrefs.ini - there are two of them. The one you want (Win 7 & Vista) is usually in C:\Users\Your User Name\Documents\My Games\Skrim folder. In XP it will be slightly different as there is no \users\ folder - look in C:\Documents and settings\ your_user_name\ my documents\my games\skyrim

Go down to the bottom and change to this

(be sure not to change anything else)

[Launcher]
bShowAllResolutions=0
uLastAspectRatio=2
bEnableFileSelection=1
